Chapter 19: Home is Where the Hut is
I needed to find Timoti and say that I’m staying on the island. I found Timoti in the jungle, sick with the same illness that the idol gave me. I can’t help but feel that this is somehow all my fault.
I had to talk to Timoti. I told Timoti that I’m not going to leave the island. I just hope it’s not too little, too late.
In order to prove to the Chief that the “curse” can be cured, I kissed Timoti. Fortunately, I was right and I didn’t get sick. I will not allow that to be the last time our lips meet.
I needed to get back to the raft before any more villagers got sick. A flaming projectile from the volcano struck my raft. The woven grass sail is burnt and useless. I don’t know what to do next.
