The story begins with a young boy named Matt, sitting on his couch reading one of his favorite Marvel X-men comics, the heroes were taking down his favorite villain, Magneto. It was cold on this Halloween night until he heard a knock at the door.

"Hello?" Matt said, not getting off the couch.

Matt heard a recognizable voice calling out through the door. "Hey Max, it's me, Mike. Can you open the door please?"

That was weird, Matt thought Mike was out trick-or-treating with his friends or something like that. You decided to get off the couch and try to look through the peephole.

"Mike? You know I can't open the door for you... My parents aren't here and if I opened the door, mom would kill me!" Matt responded.

"Oh come on man!" Mike said with disappointment. "I swear it's me... please!"

Matt looked through the peephole, and what he saw... shook him to his very core. Outside the door wasn't Mike, but rather an adult man, wearing a costume similar to the Marvel Villain, Magneto. The costume was dingy and tattered and covered in what looked to be dried blood, but Matt wasn't sure. His helmet was dented and looked like the paint was chipping. His face was even worse, he had beady eyes and looked like he hadn't slept in months, He also had a massive smile across his face, as if he was waiting for something. His arms were holding something, but Matt couldn't see what it was.

"Y-you're not Mike..." Matt said with fear in his voice. "Get out of here before I call the police..."

The man just laughed, before he stared right into the peephole. Then his voice changed, it sounded deep and groggy, but slightly posh, as if he was mocking Matt. "Ahh... so you see me.... good. Let me in, Matt."

"I'm serious! I will call the cops! F### Off!" Matt shouted through the door.

The man laughed again. "Very Well, Matt... I'll find my own way inside then..." With that, the man walked off of your porch and into the darkness.

Matt went to get the house phone until all the lights shut off. He heard the phone ring and picked it up,

"M-mom, Dad... someone's trying to break in!" Matt said desperately.

"Hello, Matt..." You heard the man say on the other end.

"What the heck? Why are you doing this? Leave me alone!"

"I won't leave you alone until I get inside your house... and see you face to face, Matt. I just want to look at you... come on, Matt... don't deny your new frie-"

"I'm NOT your friend, leave me alone!"

The man laughed again before the line cut. Matt panicked as he grabbed a kitchen knife and ran to his bedroom. Matt hid in his bathroom, in the middle of the bathtub. Knife at the ready when he heard his window open in the bedroom. He heard footsteps as the man was looking for him.

"Matt... Matt? Come on out Matt... No need to hide from me!"

Matt slowly made his way out of the bathroom and managed to sneak behind the man, he tried to stab the intruder, but instead, he found his knife going into Mike's decapitated head. Matt gasped as he let the blade go and the man laughed while he waved Mike's head around.

"I knew this would come in handy... Well hello, Matt..." The man said as he inched closer to Matt, some black ooze dripping from his eyes. "Come to me Matt, don't be afraid, I want to give you a hug!" He said as he reached out and grabbed Matt by the arm.

"Please don't kill me!" Matt begged, "Please leave me alone!"

"Ahhh... but where's the fun in that? Why would I abandon my friend?" The man said as he pulled Matt closer to him. "Just embrace me, Matt..."

Matt tried to pull away, but the man's grip was strong as he put his hand on Matt's eyes. "Now go to sleep." He says, Matt has tears in his eyes, whimpering as the man whispered in his ear.

"I'll always be your friend now... you're never going to leave me now... We're going home..."

Matt trembles as the man takes him outside to a black TV screen with ooze leaking out of it.

"We're going to my house... I'm sure you'd love to stay here." The man says as he drags Matt inside the screen with him,

"Matt blacked out, and he was never seen again. That's why you never answer the door for strangers." A boy said to his younger sister. "Oh crap, I'm gonna be late to Moe's! We have a Monopoly game to catch up on!"

"The man in that story was a lot like MY friend! He calls himself Lucky the Bear though, after the teddy bear I lost as I kid,"

"Hehe... That's funny, Bonne..."

"No... I'm being serious."

"Yeah... Well, I'm heading to Moe's, remember: Don't open the door for ANYONE, okay Bonne?" The boy said as he walked out of the door.

"Okay!" Bonne said as she sat on the floor. Minutes after the boy left, a knock was heard at the front door.

"Bonne? It's me Bonne, Lucky the Bear! Open the door, Bonne!"

Bonne smiled as she stood up. "I'm coming, Lucky!"

A Wish Come True (A Short Story)

I woke up with a start when I found myself in a very unfamiliar place. The bed I was lying on was grand—an English-quilting blanket and 2 soft pillows with flowery laces. The whole place was fit for a king! Suddenly the door opened and there stood my dream prince: Katsuya Kimura! I gasped in astonishment for he was actually a cartoon character. I did not know that he really exist. “Wake up, dear,” he said and pulled off the blanket and handed it to a woman who looked like the maid. “You will be late for work.” “Work?” I asked. “Yes! Work! Have you forgotten your own comic workhouse, baby dear?” Comic workhouse?! I…I have became a cartoonist? That was my wildest dreams! Being a cartoonist! I undressed and changed into my beige T-shirt and black trousers at once and hurriedly finished my breakfast. Katsuya drove me to the workhouse. My, my, was it big! I’ve never seen a bigger place than this! Katsuya kissed me and said, “See you at four, OK, baby?” I blushed scarlet. I always wan...

Hans and Hilda

Once upon a time there was an old miller who had two children who were twins. The boy-twin was named Hans, and he was very greedy. The girl-twin was named Hilda, and she was very lazy. Hans and Hilda had no mother, because she died whilst giving birth to their third sibling, named Engel, who had been sent away to live wtih the gypsies. Hans and Hilda were never allowed out of the mill, even when the miller went away to the market. One day, Hans was especially greedy and Hilda was especially lazy, and the old miller wept with anger as he locked them in the cellar, to teach them to be good. "Let us try to escape and live with the gypsies," said Hans, and Hilda agreed. While they were looking for a way out, a Big Brown Rat came out from behind the log pile. "I will help you escape and show you the way to the gypsies' campl," said the Big Brown Rat, "if you bring me all your father's grain." So Hans and Hilda waited until their father let them out, ...

I've Learned...

Written by Andy Rooney, a man who had the gift of saying so much with so few words. Rooney used to be on 60 Minutes TV show. I've learned.... That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person. I've learned.... That when you're in love, it shows. I've learned .... That just one person saying to me, 'You've made my day!' makes my day. I've learned.... That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world. I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being right. I've learned.... That you should never say no to a gift from a child. I've learned.... That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in any other way. I've learned.... That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with. I've learned.... That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand. I...
