Deadly Force
The officer withdrew and aimed his pistol. Time seemed to slow as he sized up the criminal in front of him.
This particular suspect had been involved in a number of different cases. Theft. Drugs. Sex crimes. And the department even suspected murder. But even so, he had eluded arrest every time.
Not that he hadn’t been seen, though. The officer had personally placed him in the sights of his gun more than once, but every time, he had decided against using deadly force.
And look where that had gotten him. Nowhere. Far from being scared into repentance by his brushes with death, this fool had just laughed it off and gone on to do even worse crimes.
Not this time.
The officer had a duty. A duty to ensure that the law was upheld and that criminals like the scum in front of him were prevented from ever causing chaos again.
And right now, with his firearm drawn and ready, a swift bullet to this bastard’s head seemed like the only way to uphold this duty. The officer gathered his resolve and pulled the trigger.
One bullet later, he had fallen to the floor of his living room, dead.
