My Dog





About a month ago I lost my dog that lived with me for several years. He wasn’t a big dog or a small dog.

He was a black lab and stayed in the house with me and followed me everywhere. It was a major heartache to me when he died.

Following the days leading to his death he acted very strange at night. He would crawl in bed with me like usual, only at odd hours of the morning he would let out a low pitched growl. I never could find out what was stirring him up.

We live out in the country so it’s just him and I, and I figured maybe a raccoon or something spooked him. This kept on for weeks until he passed away.

Until last night.

As usual, I was in bed asleep. And then I felt my pup jump onto my bed with me. He even crawled up to me on the bed so close I could feel his breathing on me. I just pulled the blanket over my head and went back to sleep.

My dog has been dead for a month now.

Hans and Hilda

Once upon a time there was an old miller who had two children who were twins. The boy-twin was named Hans, and he was very greedy. The girl-twin was named Hilda, and she was very lazy. Hans and Hilda had no mother, because she died whilst giving birth to their third sibling, named Engel, who had been sent away to live wtih the gypsies.
