Round the Campfire Ghost Stories

Darqx:
One that i've had is that one time, back in Year 6, I had a dream that i was walking along the oval at school (it was from my point of view) and all of a sudden i fell over and everything went dark. Really not much of a dream neh? The next day a school friend of mine was playing soccer when she had (what was later simply explained to us) a heart attack.

She died a few hours after being taken to hospital.

I never want to have a dream like that again.
The second experience happened a few years later in Kuala Lumpur (KL). Me, my cousin, my parents and a family friend were staying in a pretty swanky hotel. My parents were in one room and we were in another room directly opposite them.

On the last day of our stay, i woke up at about 7am needing to go to the bathroom (family friend had left room to go to gym sometime earlier, so me and cousin were alone). As i was coming out i noticed a faint blue handprint on the bathroom door.

A faint blue handprint that had a palm print on one side of the door and fingers that extended all the way to the other side of the door. Which was most certainly not there the night before

I woke my cousin up to show her just in case i was seeing things but no, it was really there. We tried to find a logical explanation for it (was it my handprint? no, handprint to big, fingers too long and creepy. Same goes for cousin's hand and family friend's hand) but couldn't find any.

Needless to say we were quite glad to be leaving that day.

First one isn't mine, it's actually my mothers but still, it's creepy:

Her first boyfriend in highschool went out one night with some friends, I believe it was after prom (she hasn't told me this in a long time) and got into an accident. Sadly he died, which of course got my mother upset. A few months later she looked out the window of her bedroom and saw him walking down her street.

My own isn't too creepy, but still. I was about ten years old and staying at my great-grandmothers house. I used to sleep in the room across from her bedroom, on the second floor, and my mother and father would sleep at the end of the hall at the top of the stairs.
I got up one morning (after my mother called to wake me up...I've always been a pretty heavy sleeper) and went to see what she wanted. When I opened the door it wasn't my mother in the bed, but an older man who smiled at me when I stared. I closed the door and went downstairs for breakfast. The odd thing is, the man never came downstairs, and those stairs creaked so you can tell if someone is or not.
I asked my mom about it a few years later and the man I described to her was my great-grandmothers brother, who had died a few years earlier but had always liked me.

And my mom tends to have dreams about people before they die, she's done it a few times...so I hope I didn't get that from her. It's just too creepy to think about.

One time, my friend was staying over at my house, and (while I was asleep) she said she saw a man standing outside of my door. She couldnt see him very well because the light in the hallway was shining behind him, but she said he had an afro-type hairstyle. He backed away from the door, and she was too scared to check to see if he was still there

Back when I was like 10 years old, I had my own room with a very large bed. (and thats pretty much it, lol jk)

And one night I couldn't sleep, so as usual I just sat there staring at the doorway, (which was directly in front of the bed) then after about 10 minutes, I heard this scraping/dragging noise coming from the hallway. My response to this was to lay down and cover myself with as much blankets as possible to try to camoflauge myself.

The noise continued for about 30 seconds, then this little monster thing (it looked like ET bundled in a way-to-big robe) stumbled into my room, I was like completely paralized but managed to pull my blankets over my head anyway.

I stayed like that for about a minute, hoping that thing would go away, and eventually when I pulled the blankets back down to see if it was still there, it was sitting on the edge of my bed staring at me...

I passed out...

I was scared out of my mind for days!

Although after that experience, horror movies have never bothered me

The first one happened the night when i was about 9 yrs old. That night i had fallen asleep, i had a strange dream, i was sitting at the table talking with my 18 yr old cousin, he had just come home from going out. At the end of the conversation he said, "I love you Jen (my nick name) but i wont be coming home anymore, let everbody know i'm ok." He smiled at me and gave me a hug then left. Not too soon after that i woke up to a loud banging on the door. It was the police. I didn't understand what was going on at the time, my parents were keeping me from going near the door, but later i had found out that that night while he was out he had been shot and died on the way to the hospital.

Another thing that happened to me was really strange, I had this big metal cross hanging up in my old room in my atic, i had gone out of my room the one day and went downstairs, i herd a loud thud come from upstairs, i went up and i found the metal cross broken into two pieces, i was like O.O 'wtf!?'

Another time i was sitting at the table with my family, and a picture of jesus we had on the wall flew across the room, and the day after my t.v. kept turnig on and off by it self, i don't know why i did it, but i was screwing around with my camera and i took a picture of my T.V. you can clearly see a face in the T.V.

Dezilon:
Soo, it was lyke kinda late at night and I was laying in my bed with all lights turned off, trying to fall asleep. Then suddenly there was this light shining in to the room, from the window. It shined for like 30 seconds and then it disappeared. I have no idea what it was, cus I live in a house far out in the woods where there's no people that could've done that. It was no car or so either, I know that cus it wasn't the kind of light that a car make. I have absolutely no idea what it was *spooky sound*

And ohh yes, another thing happened when I once again was sleeping/half sleeping. There was a shining spot in my bed. Not moonlight, cus there was no shiny-ness anywhere else in the room. I tried to touch it (I'm that brave lol) but before I reached it, it disappeared.

That was kinda scary actually O.o

Me and my friend last friday were round a mates,we were all sat down to watch the grudge when the titals started coming on, a hand came onto the screen..and the telly turned off.We looked at each other...and my friend walked across the room and picked up the remote....nothing special LOL!

I also had a weird moment when i was younger... i was awoken by a HUGE lump pushing the bed beneath me i pankied at sooched to the other side of the bed,and i could not move.. i was paralysed.

I also have heard alot of weird noises in different places...and weird dreams predicting the future

Wondering-Antagonist:
At my grandparents old house you had to go in through the garage, into the basement and up the stairs. My grandparents had a dog named Vicky, who when you climbed the stairs would run to the door and you could hear her nails and her tags. Then Vicky got really old and sick and had to be put down. But whenever you go over to their house and go up those stairs you can hear her running to the door to great you.

My other thing is I see glimpses of my Nana all over the place. I will sometimes be in the kitchen when its dark and hear something and turn around to see her blue floral dress leaving the room. Or if I am looking at porches as we are at a stop sign/light, I will see her sitting on the porch with Vicky (who loved her the most out of everyone) And my mom never sees her.

****

ShayPericulae:
...I don't think I have anything necessarily spooky happen to me, not that I know of. I know my mom's seen her dad's ghost one day, on the twentieth anniversary of his death, but not myself. I HAVE had some rather terrifying dreams, though, that seemed completely real. Actually... that's all my dreams... >_>

****

Uberjules:
Mine's really nothing special, but I think I had a spirit of sorts following me around my senior year. Things would move in my room, fall off the shelves for no reason. One time my TV spontaneously turned on in the middle of the night (right after I got done watching The Ring, too! freaked the hell out of me) so I went and turned it off, and then when I woke up in the morning it was on again. I was alone in my room at one point with the door shut and locked, and everyone else was asleep, and I heard someone whisper my name as though they were sitting right next to me on the bed.

and then one day at school, I was heading to the corner in the back where me and my friends hang out during lunch and someone tugged on my backpack strap, but there was no one within ten feet of me. Later that day my best friend told me he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. I think the spirit was trying to warn me not to go back there or something. It never did anything harmful though.

iWriteandDraw93:
First experience was quite shocking. I was sleeping, as per usual, when I woke up around 2 a.m. I laid back down to go back to sleep. About 2 minutes later, there was a loud bang heard in my room and to the other rooms in the house. It was so loud, my whole family heard it. I bolted up and turned on my light. No one was there. My cat was somewhere else, and she isn't that heavy to make that sort of sound. The big Egyptian history book I had hadn't fallen either(yes, I have an Egyptian history book XD) My whole family dismissed it, but I was freaked out.

Another experience was right after I finished watching Ghost Busters 1 & 2. I had gone to bed(always seems to happen when I'm asleep lol) and didn't wake up till about 12 midnight. For some reason, I lifted up my eye cover(don't say anything XD) and looked at the right side of my bed. I could've sworn I saw the outline of someone standing at the edge of my bed. I closed my eyes real tight, then opened them again. Still there. I freaked out, turned on my light, and looked again. Nothing this time. Turned off the light, nothing. It was sooo weird. My dad said my imagination was playing tricks on me.

I've always felt like someone is holding my hand at night. It's weird. Recently, I heard music coming like from nowhere. And, sometimes I feel like I'm being followed or watched. It freaks me out so badly XD

Aumarra:
eh. I had a demon living under my bed when I was a little kid.

I swear, it was there.

I could see its eyes.

Fuzzlespup:
Every time I go outside at night to get something from the car or take out the trash at my house, I see little balls of light zipping around everywhere like 'woosh!' and then 'woosh!' Sometimes the go towards a streetlight, sometimes they just zip across my vision.
I don't feel any danger from them. infact, I welcome their presence. the closest one has ever gotten to me was 2 feet away, and it looked like it was headed straight into the earth.

And I live near Indian Burial Mounds by Lake Jackson.
Awesome, right? xDD

But here's a bit of a less awesomething
There's something called Sleep Paralysis where you're awake but the paralysis that keeps you from acting out your dreams is still in effect. I hear that you usually have it once or twice in a life time.
I've had more than seven across the span of four years.
And once, when I had one, I woke up and was looking at the wall next to my bed, and felt a presence sit/lay down in the bed behind me (i was laying on my side). I didn't sense anything bad, and at first I thought it was my friend who had slept over the night before, but then remembered that I was home alone and that mom had left to take her home.

And then I heard it say, in really echoey voice, "I know where you're hiding tomorrow...." over and over and over again. And then when I tried to roll over to see what it was and tell it 'that's not funny.', I realized I couldn't. And then I started to panic.

The next day I played hide-and-seek with a coupla little kids at the place where I was volunteering for the summer. Nothing happened. But I still remembered the night before the entire time.

Zirra-Nova:
My first story begins with a simple fact. I have lived in a haunted house. I was only around 5-6 years old...but I do remember the house. We had an upstairs with two rooms. One room was a playroom for my sister, brother and me. The other was supposed to be our bedroom, but us kids never actually slept in there. We also never played in the playroom alone. The house was haunted by two boys who had died there in a fire and the upstairs was their domain.

The best story was what happened to my parents one Christmas. Us kids were already asleep, and they were watching tv. Then, they heard carolers singing, and turned the tv off to listen. They looked outside, but no one was there. They checked the tv, but it was off. They looked around around everywhere they could think of where carolers or kids playing a prank could be, and didn't find anyone.

My next story is about an experience I had when I was about 14 or so. One night, I woke up but I don't know why. I rolled over on my bed, and there, apparently next to my bed, was a creature. It looked like a dog, or some sort of canine and it was pure black. It as strange though, because despite the darkness of my room, I could see it clearly, and, despite the fact that the creature was black, it eyes seemed even darker. Perhaps the strangest thing about this experience though, was that I felt absolutely no fear what so ever. I even tried to reach out and pet it. However, though it appeared close, right next to my bed even, I couldn't touch it no matter how far I reached. Finally, I gave up, accepting that it didn't want me to touch it. I rolled over, and despite not having been tired throughout the experience, I was asleep almost immediately. When I woke up again, it felt like not even a minute had gone by, yet it was bright out, daytime, and I had one thought in my head that I felt to be perfectly true. The creature had been a spirit of some sort. I was ecstatic. This is one of my favorite memories.

Sorabanks:
My scary story: My mom was in the hospital and we were watching tv, when the clocks hands started spinning around. Like the Twilight Zone. It went from 1 to 12 in about 1 minute. Just spinning around as if someone were changing the time. It bugged everyone out...then I felt cool because I thought we had time travelled.

****

Nightwind-Dragon:
First: When I was young, I was always seeing shadow people out of the corner of my eyes and hear my name whispered in my ears. Not really frightening, but interesting.

Second: In St. Augustine, FL I took a ghost tour. At one of the two cemeteries I was waiting for the group to move on when I see a shadow on the wall behind me, I facing the wall, looking into the cemetery, and I feel a stone hit me. I look back at the group, but no one was behind me, at least, not where they could hit me. I turn back to the wall, see the same shadow and get hit again. Same place, same force. Needless to say I left the spot and we continued on our way.

InvaderAli:
I don't find this scary now but when I was a little kid, for a few weeks after my gradmother died, I would hear footsteps in the hallway and music downstairs although everyone was in bed and nobody was up. I got up to go see if anyone was downstairs cuz I knew my dad always sytayed up really late to watch late night shows. But there was nobody downstairs and the tv was off. It freaked me out. People told me the footsteps were probably my grandmother making sure I was okay but we couldn't explain the music from downstairs.

Another time wasn't me, but my brother saw a ghost in the mirror of my uncle's bathroom looking at the shower head. We didn't find it scary and joked about it after he told us.

We also have a spirit following us around named Toast. (according to my ouija board) Sometimes the plancette (the thing that points to the letters) will move by itself and spell out the word "toast" every time.

xXzimsrobotbeeXx:
there's this little music player i keep in my room in the shape of an angel. used to be my aunt's. whenever you twist the base, it plays music and spins slowly. sometimes, when there's no one around, it starts the tune and twirls. very haunting little melody. especially when you're lying in bed in the dark. P:
speaking of which...
when i was little, like 4 or 5, i heard--VERY CLEARLY--someone whisper my name when i was lying in bed. my mom was asleep in the other room. the voice came from above my head, right above my face. chiiiills...: D

Akki-Darkness:
I think a lot of people have haunted schools but my old jr.high is known for Felicia who used to be a school marm until this epidemic swept across and the jr.high school was made into this make-shift hospital and some of the teachers had to be nurses, I can't remember much but I think she was one too but she went missing and was never seen again.

I was new to the school and when freaky things happened in classrooms the teachers would joke about it being Felicia but I never understood why. I was late for school one day and I was rushing down to class (my second class was in the basement) and I stopped in the door way because this woman who I had never seen before was walking down the stairs wearing a summer dress and had smiled at me before continuing on. After that my class was taken to the library where there's this wanted poster for her missing. I looked at the picture and though it was pretty hard to make out (Old people pictures, gosh) I freaked out a little and told my teacher I saw her walking down the stairs once. She made a joke and I couldn't tell if she believed me or not.

I have like...a million more ghost stories, tons of them are scarier than that (Because that's not scary at all, just spooky) but...I dunno...I'm told I'm sensitive to paranormal activity because I can often see and sense things more than others but I don't think it's all that true. I just see things others can't sometimes.

SweetAlyss:
So anyone who dies close to me, I ALWAYS get a phone call from the number 1-111-111-1111. Werid, yes, but this has happen four times to me! And at the same time, 3:46 pm, mountain time. It only rings once. Here's the freaky part of it: when my dog, the one who lived to be 14 years old, she died in the morning, and at that same time, 3:46 pm, I get the call. I picked it up really fast. I answer, "hello?" and nothing for about a few seconds. Next thing I hear is a dog barking and a dog yawning. Seeing how I've known my dog for a good 14 years, I knew what my dog's yawn sounds like, (She had some damage to her vocal cords, so it always sounded werid) and that was the same yawn on the phone. It was so freaky!
I even tried calling the number and it saids that it can't be reached. So werid, and so creepy!

Trivinia:
The first one is from around where I grew up. There was a girl named Abigail who went missing in the forest near her house. They say you can still see her walking around in the late spring and summer, carrying a bunch of flowers.

The second is, I went to Las Vegas a couple years ago and went on their haunted Vegas tour. We went to this spot where a family of pioneers were attacked by a group of Native Americans. It's a park now. And we were using these dowsing (sp?) rods. I got to use the tour guide's, since I didn't pay to get my own for the tour. I walk around and then the things start spinning around like helicopter blades. People start flashing pictures and stuff. I get an email from the tour a few months later and they said most of the pictures had something standing right in front of me. D: I was so scared and so excited at the same time!

RedKrestel:
Awhile back I when I was like, 13 or 12 or something. I was laying in bed, alone in my dark room. It was like 30 minutes after I had gone to bed and I wasnt falling asleep to well but I was getting there, when I heard this soft scratching beside my head right next to my head. I sat there feeling very scared and holding my breath to hear it better, it grew louder and I was certain that something or someone was scratching against my blanket. I had grabbed my blanket and pulled it over my head and fell asleep that way.

The next night it happened again but this time I jumped up and ran to my mom who checked and there wasnt anything there.
The next morning I woke up to see my three little pig statues in the wrong order (I placed it from the mom to the kid to the dad) and after asking around no one knew why they where moved.

****

CrazyWolfChick:
Okay, mine happened just a few days ago.

I was walking along my school's stage, checking for stuff that had to be done before we could start building the set for our musical. I glanced up towards to audience and saw that the lights in our spotlight booth were on. I sighed and went back, asking my theatre teacher if he'd sent anyone up there. He told me no, and suggested that it might be either a teacher or a construction worker (our school' having work done). I went back out to the booth and stood at the foot of the stairs and called out "Is anybody up there?"

"Yes."

"Are you a worker?"

"No."

"Are you a student?"

Silence. I shrugged and climbed up the stairs, muttering to myself about stupid freshmen and how they were going to be the death of me. I got to the top of the stairs and glanced around, seeing no one. I continued on through the open door that led into the actual spotlight booth and saw nobody. I walked down to the door at the very end of the booth that led to our hat and shoe room and stood in front of it for a moment, listening to hear if anyone was hiding under the table behind me. Suddenly the door to the room flew open, slamming into the wall beside it. Now this is the heaviest door in my school, and it takes me, plus two of my male friends to open it. I stared at the pitch black darkness of the room for a second and then turned and hightailed it out of the room. I ran through both rooms, down the stairs, across the seating of the auditorium, up the stage stairs and into the wood shop behind the stage. I stood there and panted for a moment before getting my theatre teacher and babbling what happened. We went back out on stage only to find out that all of the lights, house, stage and lightbooth had been turned off.

ChaosTearsKitsune:
I dont think this counts, but one time, I was looking out my window at night ( I think it was like, 12am? Im not sure) and my friend was sitting on the bed too, about to go to sleep. All of a sudden I saw this ball of light flicker from the field/road at the front of the house (From my old bedrooms window you could see the entire yard basicly.), to down in an area near the horse pen ( which is a good distance apart) and would repeat. I turned around to see what could've done it, but nothing was there. It only happened once after that...
Not that scary...just weird.

Wildspirit94:
i went over to a friends house once, and she had a collection of those kind of dolls that look like they're eyes follow you where ever you walk, in her closet ... at the time i thought they were ok, but still a little creepy ... anyway i had to help her organize them cuz they were all in one plastic bag and we had to put them on the shelves inside the closet ... when we were done, they were all sitting up looking straight ahead .... so we closed the door ... when we turned towards her bedroom door, she said she thought she heard something fall in the closet ... when we opened the door ... all the dolls were on the floor and the heads were back in the plastic bag ... we both freaked, slammed the closet door shut and ran out of her room ......

Kennybox:
When I was 7-ish, I had a night of bad sleep and was wandering around the house. I saw this "person" who I thought was my brother, but when I looked closer it looked like a little girl in one of those poofy, white dresses. When I tried to reach out for her, she disappeared.

Years later, in a different house, it was a Friday night and both the same brother and I had a friend over. The four of us were "play fighting" when one of the glass panels on the door shattered outwards. It was spooky.

At a different house again, there was always this "old guy" in glasses and a maroon sweater who would stand at my bedroom door at night and watch me sleep. Since I rarely sleep through the night, I'd see him there often. He'd never come in the room though, and I never felt scared of him.

****

OsakanXKira:
When I lived in Florida, I had this adorable little hamster named Angela. (I didn't actually name her, a friend did. *shrugs*) Anyways, I doted on the little hamster and played with her but she eventually died as all little furry things do eventually. I was really upset...and shortly after that we moved to Texas, where I got a new hamster I named Tara. (Which I pronounced like Terra for whatever reason.) Anyhow, Tara hated chew toys and would chew on her cage bars all night, so we put her out near the computer room so I could sleep. It was probably about a year exactly after Angela died that I started hearing this weird sound in my room. It sounded exactly like a squeaky hamster wheel. I knew of course that that's how the wheel in the cage sounded like, but I also knew that Tara hated exercising and so she was a FAT little thing. (Her idea of exercising was escaping her cage and picking on my cats.) I checked the air vents, but they wouldn't make that sound, and the cage was a full fifty to hundred feet away from my room. Yet there it was, the sound of a hamster wheel...it was like having Angela back again, so it actually helped me get to sleep.

Second...well, they're just weird things, and I've been having this happen to me all the time since I was little. Sometimes when I'm in a room all by myself, I hear people talking or saying things. I've gotten the talk before, that they're just voices I've heard somewhere or that it's my mind playing tricks on me because I'm sleepy or bored or something...except I know for a fact that's not it. (Though the weirdest things I hear when I'm sleepy or bored...)I mean, I like going to my first class early, when no one's there yet and it's all quiet and cool and calm. It was freshman year, and it happened twice that made a real impact. Once it was just...'You're here early.' I thought it was a classmate, since the voice was so loud and clear, but nope. No one in the room, and the one who walked in a moment later was the teacher, who was a man. The voice was female. And later that year, just before a fight broke out, there was only one other person in the room with me-a boy. I heard this weird cooing humming sound, followed by a girl's voice saying something...it was kinda like 'Mmmmm...ummm...this doesn't look good. Property damage.' Lo and behold, moments later, a fight broke out between the boy and some other guys who stormed in and they broke a window...I was pretty traumatized for the remainder of that day. And the next one. (I genuinely didn't talk for the rest of the day.)

The most recent happening with the whole voice thing was earlier this week even. I was in the bathroom just before school started and there was a girl fixing her hair in there too. No big deal. So I'm in the stall, and then I hear this loud 'Hello?' It's a girl's voice, no big deal. I figured the girl out there was talking on her cell phone. I came out seconds later and the girl was gone. Not only that, but looking out at the hallway, the girl who was actually in the bathroom was all the way down at the other end...she couldn't have gotten that far in a few seconds. She wasn't the one who was speaking...and no one else was in that restroom at that moment, either.

Most people just tell me I'm crazy when I talk about the voices (well, I've taken to calling them 'echoes' since saying voices makes it sound like I'm schitzo) but...I know I'm not. And I know I've been hearing them since I was a kid, like a REALLY little kid. I mean, I used to hear them using these BIG words I couldn't possibly even know the meaning of, much less pronounce...I just...don't know. It's not really a ghost story, it's just something that happens to me...and I've never really considered it that weird, since I've kinda...ALWAYS had this happen, but...I dunno. Maybe you guys find it creepy?

TheHuntersSkin:
It was when I was a small, small girl. I'm not totally sure how old I was, maybe in the 6 to 8 age ranges, but I was at my old house. Downstairs was a small living room, having two small couches and I think a tiny chair. There was a glass-case with a TV sitting on it, on the wood parts built in anyway, and I was sitting happily watching TV. Now I think a commercial came on, and I looked down at the reflection on the glass. Paying more attention to the glass, I saw a shadowed figure cross the screen, starting on the left side, going behind/around the couch, and disappearing to the other side.

Now at first I thought it was my brother fooling me by teasing me since back then I was TOTALLY afraid of the dark. Rising from my seat I walk around the couch saying 'nice try josh. Josh? Josh?'

I called his name a few times, and after maybe less then a min, I ran upstairs scared shitless. o.o

Upstairs, my brother, mom and dad were at the table talking, and I told what had just happened. My oldest brother was either in the room at the time or out with his friends; i don't remember, but the whole time I had been down there, I was the ONLY one down there.

Afterwards I hadn’t seen a ghost time thing since, from what I could remember, at that house. But when I came to my new house, more than less, thing began going elsewhere, and I finally accepted there's a ghost living and following me. :]

My father's mother died a few years ago and now grandma Frank haunts our house. Because I was her favorite grandchild, bad things only usually happen to my mom and brother. For instance, the oven like to turn on and off, and the buzzer on the washing machine will turn itself on and off. On another occasion she tried to burn the house down by having the toaster oven turn on itself and super heat until it burned a hole in the cloth covering, and melt a plastic calander. We've had several electritions check our wiring and its fine, in fact our house isn't even 20 years old yet. Also, my grandma loved wind chimes, and usually at dusk, or at dawn, when there's not a breath of air, she likes to spin the wooden chime outside our house, and the ceramic music chimes she gave me in my room.

at least she's not trying to kill me

MatzukiDarkGirl:
When I was 6 I thought I'd seen my cousin run out into the other room, so I went to run after him, but... He wasn't out there (and there was no other way out of that room except the back door and we weren't allowed to touch the door). So, I went and asked my Mom and Aunt where he'd gone. They just looked at me and said "Uh... He wasn't out there. He hasn't even come downstairs yet..." But I swore that he'd gone out in that room. I saw it so clearly. And when I went upstairs, he was indeed in his bed still...

This was when I was about, oh.... 7 or 8. I was walking down a hall that connected the kitchen/family room to the dining room/living room. I could have sworn that my cousin (a different one then the last) was about to walk right into me, so my frist inclination was to close my eyes and brace myself. After a few seconds I opened my eyes because I hadn't felt him brush past me or run into me.
He wasn't in front of me with a would-you-hurry-up-and-walk-past-me-already expression on his face like he would. I twisted myself around and walked back into the living room (also where I thought I'd seen my younger cousin walk in the last one) but only his older and younger brothers were there.
I asked them where their brother was and they didn't know.

So, again I went to go and ask my Mom and Aunt where he was. They gave me that look again and said, again, that he wasn't there. He was on the computer upstairs. And there was no way he'd run up there, he wouldn't have had time without someone seeing him, and no one had.

in my old house, my parents used to stay there was a spirit in the hallway. which...creeped my the fuck out. b/c sitting at my computer, my back would be to the hallway. they said it would open doors and such, but i myself never experienced such a thing. i just felt creeped out in the hallway.

the only kind of thing i've experienced myself didn't involve ghosts, but a ufo. which i believe i made a journal about when i saw it. but hey, i'll share it again just for the hell of it:
driving home from LA one night (my sister at the wheel, her friends in the back, me in the passenger seat. there may have been one other car on the road), i began passing out. it was late. my sister begins quickly trying to wake me up asking if i can "see that". groggily, i look around, seeing...nothing. i'm half asleep. finally i see where she's looking, and in the distance there's a light. the light begins to move. our panicking causes the others in the car to wake up as this mass of lights begins flying about the sky. i dig around in my bag and pull out my camera. i turn it on and begin to take a video. my camera then freezes (something it had never done before nor has it ever done since). i begin trying to get it to work as this mass of lights is now extremely close to the car. it passes by and is now far off behind us in the distance. this is when my camera decides to work again.
we continue freaking out, all fully awake now, except for one friend in the back who mumbles "crop circles" and passes out again.

AkiMyra:
Well, I have a story, but it happened to my mom, not me....

When my mom was little, she'd go to her grandparents' house every summer. She was very scared whenever she went there because she believed the place was haunted after someone died in the cellar a very long time ago. Whenever she went down the stairs, she'd hear someone else going down the stairs when there was no one behind or in front of her (This was a little weird because this only happened when someone went down the stairs, not up). And on the second floor, there was this room all the way in the back that was always locked. Her grandparents told her never to go into the room or even unlock it. She never understood why, but she was sure that she didn't want to.

Here comes the really creepy part (which might sound somewhat cheesy). When her grandparents moved (which was just a few blocks down on the other side of the street), the ghost followed them, and the exact same things that happened before started to happen again. Then, they moved to a completely different part of the neighborhood, and it went back to the old house. After that, neighbors kept complaining to the county that hey were hearing shrieks and screams coming from the house. Soon after, the house was legally declared haunted and torn down.

No one heard the shrieks and screams from then on....

QutenessMonster:
Let's see, well, I wanna tell my mom's first. She had to walk home from her uncle's house one night, and she ended up running home because she kept hearing a little girl scream at her from behind. The next day, she learned that a panther had escaped from the local zoo.

And mine, well, I was always afraid to go into the basement at my old house. My old hous was a onestory that looked like two because the basement was above ground but the house was, well, and the only was to get to it was by going outside and walking down some stairs. The basement porch was ok most of the time, but the basement itself was always dark, cold, dusty, and smelled of old musky luandry detergents. Well, one day my omo asked be to take clothes down to the washer, which was nothing out of the normal. But when I got down there, I felt like I was being chased into the basement by this....thing. I just remember being really really scared of this thing I felt. I did was I was suppossed to do, but I was too afraid to come out of the basement,a little twist on the ironies, considering it was a summer evening and it was nice outside. But I kept feeling this presence at the basement porch's door (or rather, opening, it didn't have a door) like something was going to pounce me as soon as I stepped out. After trembeling in fear and crying a bit, I make a run for it and make it up to the house and slam the door behind me. My mom couldn't figure out why I was so shaken, and I ended up drawing her a picture and telling her that it was trying to get me. The picture looked like this demonic, well, demon. I didn't actually 'see' it, but I know THAT was what was there.

My old basement was bi-polar. Sometimes it was safe, and at other times it was menacing. Now that I'm older, I wonder if the 'thing' lived down there and went in and out, and that one day I just happened to be blocking its way...

I really hope my mind was just playing tricks on me.

Once, when I was about 15 (so only about 3 years ago) I was lying in my bed at our old apartment. It was barely sunrise and I was lying on my side facing the wall, still half asleep. I glanced up at the big mirror I had on my dresser that is across from the two windows I had and noticed a shadow that looked like it was standing in front of the windows. At first I thought it was just the way things looked when the sun was rising but then I saw it raise an arm. I bolted up right and turned to the windows. There was nothing there, not even any shadows, as the sun rose on the sides that my windows were on so it was nothing but direct sunlight. I looked back and forth but there was nothing in the mirror and nothing by the windows. Nothing happened but I have to say, it certainly scared the hell out of me!

Everyone-screams:
Mine happened when I was really little. I had just woken up from a nightmare and, like most five year olds, wanted my mommy. So, I headed downstairs to where her bedroom was. But I heard something moving in the kitchen, so I thought maybe she'd gotten up to go the bathroom or something (hey, it happened to me, it had to happen to her, right?). I head toward the kitchen and see the shadow of a woman on the dining room wall. I call out to it, and then it turns and disappears.

I then proceed to run back through the living room and toward my mother's room. However, before I can turn the doorknob, I inexplicably have the strangest urge to look upstairs. I do so, and see the shadow on the wall at the foot of the staircase. I'm peering up over the baby gate set up to keep our puppy from sneaking up during the night when my mother comes out of her room, saying that she heard me calling 'mama, mama.' Only I hadn't said anything. She says that I must have been sleepwalking to this day, which I still vehemently deny.

There was another instance where my dog, Buster, started barking just as I was falling asleep (he would stay on the end of my bed until I fell asleep, then my mom would get him and put him in his bed downstairs). I jolted up out of surprise, and I think I saw the shadow leaving my room. But that might have just been me being half asleep, rather than anything else.

I've always been able to see ghosts.

When I was four, I saw a woman standing in the corner of the living room. I pointed at her, asking my uncle who she was. He looked right at her, but he said he didn't see anything. I kept insisting that there was a woman there, but he kept saying that there was no one there.

Another time, I was six, and I was returning home from a visit to the grandparents. As we entered the car, I saw an old man jogging down the street. I waved to him, and my mother asked me who I was waving to. No one else could see him.

When I was eleven, I saw a little girl, dressed all in white, haunting the auditorium of my local theatre. No one else saw her, but she looked almost exactly like the lead character in the musical. On opening night, the lead walked out on stage, and WAS PUSHED by something no one else saw right off the stage. She ended up in the hospital. If she had landed wrong, she would have died.

I have always been able to see ghosts. Always.

BlackWolfSpirit:
Okay, I have a few:

1. Last year, I was going to bed, when I heard a paper rustle on my floor, because my ceiling fan was on. It was pitch black, except for the blinking of the light on my sterio. You know the little white light fleck you see when its dark, tight? well, I was looking around, and if looked as if there was the large shadow of a man moving twords me, and he was made of them. I got scared, and turned on my lamp. He/it was gone, and I played Mario for aobut an hour, then turned the light ack off, He/it was gone, and I went back to sleep.

2. I was in my bedroom with my friend, and the sterio was unplugged. It was completely pitch black, and she got really scared, because (my room was clean) she saw two victorian type people dancing in the middle of my floor, but I have never seen them. Dont want to!!)

3. Not very scary, but really wierd. When I was little, I had a dream that I was hanging upside down from a big circle made of bricks. I was looking down a sidewalk that got very dark until I couldnt see. There was a man walking twords me in the dream, but he was dark, and I couldnt see him. He kept walking twords me, but never got any closer. Because I was little, I kept yelling for my mommy or daddy. Then, it skipped to a new part of the dream. In it, me, my mom, and dad were walking, and I was in the middle of them, and each of them had one of my hands, and we were all walking. I happened to look down, and there were stepping stones. In them, was two koi fish, swimming in cirches like a yin yang sign. The steppingstones were covered by glass so the fish couldnt get out I guess...

4. I was uding my friend's Ouija board with her, and we were trying to contact my great grandma, and I asked that if anyone was here could they please show us, and the water heater turned on, and the walls and ceiling started creaking really loud...
Also, when I was little, I slept in my parents bed with them a lot. Well, I would be between both of them and I would hear the TV in the living room turn on, and I would also head footsteps. I would ask my mom, but she said no on ewas out there. We ALWAYS lcked our doors, and I have no siblings, and had no pets at the time. I also remember I heard the fridge door open, but only oncewith the fridge door...

Also, when I was in kindergarten, we had a sub bus driver, because the normal one was gone for a day, and I was lways dropped off last, because my parents got ohme late, Well, he dropped me off early, and there was no one home. I was yelling and screaming for my dad, and at one point I thought I heard him yell "Linsey?!" as if he was calling me. No one was home though, and it was a very old house. So, because I was little, the bus driver waited to see if my parents were home. I got back on the bus, and I was scared and crying to say the least... I think the house may have been haunted, but we dont live in it anymore.

Goddess-of-Suicide:
When my dad was young, his cousin dared him to ride his bike over to the house of the first girl he ever loved and say hi. He accepted the dare and she happened to be outside, at the time. They talked a bit and then he came home. Well, my great-grandpa (my dad's grandpa) was a funeral director and, the next day, my dad was asked to help out with a burial. Of course, he said yes (because, hey, he's just like me) and when he got home that night, my great-grandma showed him the obituary, for the person he'd helped bury.

It was the girl he liked and she had died a few days prior, by falling and smashing her head on the edge of a bathtub (which, obviously, would have made it impossible for him to have seen her alive, the night before). It's funny, because he took me to see her plot, once, and a flower from her mound flew off and landed in the corner of the windshield, in the car. He kept it there, for as long as he owned that piece of junk.

Kobi-anime-fan:
My first Story isn't creepy. It's just weird. On day, when I'm Home alone and Maya was still a puppy, we had the baby gates up so she wouldn't get into the trash. the only animal in the house how could get over them was the cat, because her catbox is in the kitchen. On that day, I hear her hop over the gate. PLOP. and I go to grab Maya's collar, but I was too late, She speed towards the cat. She always Messes with the cat, until she runs Oh of reach, but this time, She back off immediately.... the Cat runs behind the couch. I go over to the couch, look behind it, and remeber: There's only an INCH BEHIND the couch, And TWO Below the Couch, and the CAT was Gone. My Cat's De-clawed, and Maya had scratch marks on her face. I later find our cat locked in the garage.

This story is short, but scarier. I live in a house that I believe to be haunted my many ghosts: Claire, Jayson,((the BAD)) Coji, Lilith, Heather,((the GOOD)) Several cats, a couple dogs, A shadow man, Max, and The man in a black cloak.((The Neutral/Residual.)) and I know they're there. I was putting Maya to bed one night. and she Stops and stares into the corner where Claire likes to be. I look and I see her. I spend the Night In Mom's room. I wake up for no reason to see Jayson at to foot of the bed. I hide under the covers until he goes away. but all that night, I could feel him there. Waiting for me to peek over the covers to scare me. Half to death.

I accidentally break some tiles of my sis's and I's Shower wall. Until It's fixed, I have to use Mom's shower. I HATE my mom's shower. The Bath tub and the toilet are in one room on there own, and the sink is across from the closet((where Jayson stays)). I'm taking a shower one night the door is cracked about a foot so I can hear my music, and it opens a little more, thinking it's mom, I look, Jayson Paces twice, and then looks STRAIGHT AT ME and throws the door open. I almost scream, but he disappears. I turn my back to the door. I wash my hair. I see his hand curling around the shower curtain. He starts to pull it open but I scream NO! And he disappears again. I see a toaster come over the top, I yell for my mom. It disappears.Mom walk in, I tell her what I'm seeing, and She LAUGHS and says I'm just a adolescent teen craving attention. I goes on until I run out of the shower and dry off in My bedroom across the house. I don't go into her room for weeks.

When I was in the third Grade, I lived in a house filled with haunted things. I was a haunted person. I saw things flay around over my head, ghost spiders, Jayson Lived on my parent's stairs((we lived in a 3 floor house, my mom and dad had the 3rd floor)),and I remember the very FIRST time I ever saw Heather. I will never forget. I couldn't sleep one night.((I have insomnia twice a week)) There was an old Oriental Mirror Mom hung in the hallway. I saw My sister in it.((She Wears all Black with Long brown hair)) She was pacing. I Assumed she couldn't sleep either and called her name, She disappeared. I let it go and tried to sleep. I couldn't. I sat up again to see my "sister" pacing. I call her name, asking if she can't sleep, but she ignores me. I attempt sleeping again. No luck. I sit up a third time to see her. I walk out to the hall and look around. I check the Laundry room, the bathroom, and both stair cases to see she's in bed. I ask her if she can't sleep, and she gets mad at me because she was having a good dream. then I remember her bed squeaks like CRAZY whenever she moves, and the house was DEAD SILENT. I go back to my room, And I hear a voice say, "Call Me Heather, Not Kayla. Now get some sleep!" then I pass out in my bed. I see her every night I have Insomnia after that. Then Mom moved the Mirror, And I didn't see her for a couple years.

One Night, in the 5th grade, My sis has a friend over. It's not the first time. I know they talk long into the night. And they are talking rather loudly, so I ask them to be quite. They stop. Then they start again. I ask again. they stop. and Start again. Whispering and giggling so loud, it sounds like it's right in my ear.I ask them again to stop. They do. And Start again, Ten Minutes later. I go into her room and yell saying "shut up and go to bed already!!! I'm TIRED!!" they don't react. They're out cold. I got into the room in the morning, complaining how they wouldn't shut up, and they said I Kept THEM up by Telling THEM to shut up when They were trying to sleep. From that point onward, if I ever sleep in the living room alone, I hear the girls talking and giggling. And I don't know what about.

Jinsui:
The first time I remember assuming I was haunted was when I was very young. I remember we had my dog Einstein for about a year or two by this time. I was sleeping in my bed hen suddenly my door creaked open a little but. Einstein had never done this before and he hadn't started doing this /again/ until a bout a month or two after. He usually nudges my door open with his nose, so I assumed it was him and got u to close it. When I did, my radio suddenly white-noised and I freaked out. It never white-noised before even if i put a box around it, so I'm sure my body wasn't blocking any signal. I wasn't sure exactly what happened, but it sure freaked my 11-yr-old ass out.

My dad told me a story where when he was uber young he walked out of his bedroom to see a lady in a dress at the top of the stairs. Well, he decided to talk to her for a good few minutes. When his parents came out to see why he was up, they found him only on the stairs. They asked him who he was talking to and he said the lady in the purple dress. Ever since then I felt creeped out upstairs every minute of the day. His old bedroom just has this creepy feeling. Then the bedroom across form the stairs has a secret closet, so that room sure as hell creeps me out. In the same house, I slept on the couch downstairs while my parents and nanny played a card game. They couldn't wake me up so they decided to leave me there. I woke up at god knows what time in the night to here the AC right above my head jolt on when it usually was very smooth. I looked around, unable to see a damn thing, and panicked on the couch. I eventually mustered the strength to climb the stairs to go to bed alone. The whole time I felt something really heavy on my shoulders and back. The next morning my shoulders ached as if I had an anvil on them. I told my parents and nanny and they said I was just a young, scared teen.

I went on a field trip to St. Augustine for two days and we as well did the ghost tour. I remember them telling me about the girl who smoked camel cigarettes all the time, so she made it smell like cigarettes nearly 24/7 in her old house. The story is that she died on the staircase and wasn't found until a few days after. When a couple tried moving in, the husband left their stuff upstairs...when they came back inside with other stuff to move in, all their shit was downstairs. Creepy story had me freaked out so bad. When we visited the other places, i swear I could feel watched seeing as I was at the back of the pack, holding my friend's hand.

Short one: I walked into to room to find my gameboy advance on my desk and in the middle of the word gameboy...then pokemon showed up. I was like "MOM MY GAMEBOY IS HAUNTED." My next door neighbor had told me the owners previously had a son who died, but I never really believed it.

One time when my friend was over, we both watched this strange green dot flicker on my wall. We both laughed, assuming it was my dad playing tricks with his laser light as always from the crack in our door. I was saying "Alright dad, that's enough. We're tired." It didn't stop. It kept flickering on the wall above my bed. Next time I yelled "DAD STOP." Next thing I know, both my parents ran into my bedroom as if I screamed for help. My friend and I told them what happened and he said that he was in his office the entire time down the hall. He left and came back with his light...and it was red, not green. We still have no friggin' clue what happened that night.

As a child I was always fearful. In my nanny's house [lol again], she had a basement that had another area closed off and dark. Well, one night I was down there playing darts while my mom was doing laundry when I saw something move in the dark of the room closed off [there was a door and windows to see into the room]. I asked my mom if she had gone into the room the other way and she said she hadn't...it was locked. I asked my nanny and dad about it later on and they said that my dad's dad use to always be in the room. I never met the man, but I must say...i haven't gone downstairs for years since that. I don't even go alone. It's just far too creepy for me.

Galactia-300:
I have a few, but they're mostly not scary. They're all from the same place... there's a local theater I work with based in an old Victorian home transplanted from its original location to a public park, and then remodeled into a theater. A very, very haunted theater. Like, they have a certificate that says so. Luckily, the ghosts are mostly really nice, except for this one old mean guy in the basement. (I've never met him, I've just heard.)

The only experiences I've had with them personally were that once during a show I was teching, I'd go upstairs (where props are stored) and have to turn on the lights to find something. I'd turn 'em off every time I went downstairs, but half the time coming back upstairs they'd be on again. Also, they stole a few props a few times, but they put them back.

That sounds like just me being a scatterbrain, but the first time I encountered one doesn't. During a show I was sitting in a chair with its back, and my back, up directly against a wall. I was in the show with my sister, and I distinctly heard someone say her name, from behind me. I turned around, confused, but no one had said anything. I sat back down. It happened again, and again when I looked around no one had said anything, and my sister hadn't come in having been called or something. Then it happened again, so I stood up, and went over to the one area that was actually behind me in that wall... the broom closet. No one there. At that point, I remembered that, oh yeah, I was in a haunted house. xD

Those are my only two encounters personally, but I've heard tales of...
Figures in the widow's walk that weren't really there
A man sitting on the piano while rehearsal went on calmly around him
Glowing orbs on the monitor screen for the stage
Whispers behind the curtain as it was closed and other stuff. xD Most of it's harmless, but it's definitely haunted.

#1: I couldn't sleep on night after having a coffee fest with my cousins at a hotel we're staying for the hols and I had a killer headache, so I went down a floor to get some ice from the vending machine. While I waited for it to fill, I heard dragging sounds at a distance coming closer and closer and closer and CLOSER but I couldn't see anything! When I made a run for it to the elevator to go back up to my floor, I could've sworn I felt breathing down the back of my neck! Needless to say, my headache was gone in an instant by the time I ran back to our hotel room

#2: I was cramming for exams and decided to get some shut-eye before the exam day itself. When I lay down and slept, suddenly I felt someone was lying down next to me, pressing against me. I thought it could be my comforter so I tried to push it away, but out of the blue my fingers touched a pair of lips, and the pressure on my back was too real to be a soft comforter. I could've sworn I was the only person in the room, no one else! When I woke up when my alarm rang, the pressure was soon gone and I find no one next to me.

Sno-Oki:
I've had multiple encounters with unusual things. It could be because my mother's side of the family comes from gypsies (on her father's side), but hey, it could just be freaky co-incidences. (Or maybe not, considering how many of them there are.)

1) A few months after my Oma died, I had a very vivid dream about my Opa. It consisted of me sitting in the computer lab at school, in my sports uniform during science. This alone told me it was a Wednesday (since Wednesdays were sports afternoon days, and Wednesday was the only day we had in the computer lab for science). My phone, sitting on the desk (rather odd, since it would have been confiscated IRL if it had been sitting there), received a text message saying "Opa is dead." When I woke up, I could remember every detail of it, but I kept it to myself, thinking it was just a nightmare. It came back every few months for the next year, until one year later my grandfather died on a Wednesday. I was 14-15 when these dreams occurred.

2) This one was both my mother and myself, and we were at Port Arthur in Tasmania, the former prison. Firstly, we took a photo near a ruined building using my mum's phone, and we looked at it later, finding a ghostly woman in the corner that looked like a nun. Why a nun would be at Port Arthur, we still don't know.

Then we went to a guard's tower, where there was a room inside of it. We both went in, and I suddenly had to get out of it. I was about 12 at the time.

THEN we went to the Commander's cottage, where my mother randomly took us up a side path with a dead-end. There was a strong scent of potpourri in the air, and when we looked in the empty cottage (it was closed for the day), we both got this horrible vibe off the rocking chair that was the only thing in the room.

Later, we went on the ghost tour, and we found out that a 12 year old boy had been locked in the tower for killing another boy, and had screamed the entire night he was in there, scratching at the stone walls, awaiting execution the next day. We moved on (I was spooked badly by that story) to the Commander's cottage, where we were told about the nanny (guardian) of the Commander's daughter, who was a horrible woman, and would sit in her rocking chair, watching the girl as she played in the side-path. My mother later described a little girl to me, saying that she had gone up the path to follow her, thinking she was part of the staff, and her parents were ahead. The girl was not, and there was no-one else around. She was the Commander's daughter.

3) I was on another ghost tour in Sydney (I love the supernatural), when we were on Observatory Hill. The trees are twisted up, and bumpy because they used to hang people from there. One young woman took a photo of the trees, and when she looked back on the photo on her digital camera, there were orbs lining the tree branches. These were most definitely NOT city lights or some strange reflection.

4) When I was very, very little (I can't even remember this, my parents told me about it a while ago), I was insisting on that there was a little boy in the corner of the house, and I was asking why he was there. My parents couldn't see him, and I wasn't one to make up imaginary friends.

5) I was in science (again), when my class-mate suddenly froze, and intently stared at the corner near the door. I followed her gaze, saw a very faint orb there, and looked back at her, saying "Your father is here."

She replied, "I know."

Her father has been dead since she was about 8 (from what I can remember of what she told me). She went on to say that he came back every now and then, to check on her. It was sweet, and he meant no harm.

6) One night, I woke up suddenly, feeling uneasy. There was a black figure in the doorway, with a pale white face. It suddenly moved right next to me, to which I responded by burying my head into my pillow and screaming, going into hysterical sobbing. My father woke up instantly (my parents were in the next room, and the wall were quite thin), and ran into my room. The face had disappeared by then, and my mother came in not long after. They dismissed it as the remnants of a nightmare, but they were concerned. I can't even remember the face, but the feeling that overwhelmed me was that it was malicious, and it was going to hurt me.

This was quite recent, and it happened late last year/early this year.

7) Where my mum used to work, there were two ghosts. One of them was an old lady called Annie who HATED young people (like me), and would constantly turn off the junior staff's computers and mess with the lights. She had died of old age, and in the central room, where her bedroom was. Mum didn't like that room, even before she found out about Annie. Annie also liked leaving the lower level stair-well light on, and locking people in the storeroom. Also, before she arrived at the organisation, they had purposely changed the stairs to have a bend in them, so people would stop freaking out when they looked down the (originally straight) staircase, and see a woman at the foot of them. She isn't Annie.

8) I saw a man at the cemetery dressed completely in black, then he vanished into thin air. My mother didn't see him.

9) At my Oma's funeral, my uncle showed me a photo of the crematorium and there were a multitude of orbs floating around. However, this could have been the dust from the furnace, but there was no visible smoke, and it was out in a remote area, so no pollution either.

Well, I have no ghost-meeteing experience. I just had some hallucinations from my meds so my doctor gave me other ones, but it can't be rated as a paranormal experience. But, of course, it's still kinda creepy to see someone standing behind your chair in the mirror and turn around to notice that no one's actually there. And to hear music from Mario Land in the middle of the night in a perfectly quiet house xD I don't know which one is more scary thouhg xD

1st as i remember when i was like 9 or lil,i was visiting my aunt and uncle for a christmas vacasion and and since they slept togheter i was sleeping alone in a room right nxt to them and once i woke in the middle of the night and right next to me(though the bed was really small)stood there a shadow, after a lil while it just stood there and then as a lil cleary i saw an old lady like with brown dark hair after that thing dissapeared i went back to sleep and after 2 years my aunt told me that by the discribe it looked like my dead grandmother....spoooky & my uncle saw her too some other time looking at him from the doors window

next last summer it was my 15th birthday and after all the fun i didn't slept at all and sunce i was soo hot i slept on the floor with my moms bed right next to me there were only the 2 of us there and i was soo bored and couldn't sleep so i watched the wall in front of me all the time, when i turned over just for 1 min there were small black dots on the wall and i thought there were insects but when i turn on the lights,it was actually dark red blood 0_0 i woke my mom up right then and she had to wipe out the blood early in the morning

and other ...when i was lil like 2 years and my grandma died a lot of other thongs happened to me like visits at nights and me talkin about monsters/demoms somewhere near rhe door thats what my mom told me and its really scary(lucky we dont live there anymore)

sometimes at night i have dreams about things that are going to happen in the future(and its real) or about whats going to happen the next day and it really happens how i dreamt or sometimes when i dream about my relatives diyng the next morning early i hear from mom that the same person i dreamt of dying really died...those things freak me out

other story's:D
last winter i was at my friends place at 7 to do a project & play on the computer,my friends name was cristina but i called her Chris:) so while we finished the project for school, and started to do other things like playing on the computer,i was getting bored and wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and started to look arond her room when suddenly at some conner of her room there was a closet, where she left the door open,as dark as that place was(we turned off the lightsXD)i saw an a head if an old lady watchin at us like for a few seconds, that kinda scared me and i told Chris about it but she told me that she sees nothing so i though it was my imaginasion, but later at 10 i had to go home,it was winter and really dark outside so i asked her to come with me at the busstop where i could take the buss and go directly home. While we were walkin pass some houses she suddenly foze and started to watch closely at some dark window,i asked here whats wrong

and she said"Girl are you blind?cant you see?"(yes i'm a girl XD)"see what?" "my grandma was at the window!"

that was something unussual for me cuz she told me that her grandma would always watch her from her window just when she would came home from school, but that night she told me that her grandma died a long time ago...that night i couldn't wait to make it back home

Next last week night i was asleep and in my dream i was on my computer and doing nothing new and my mom with my cat and cousin were on the bed right next to me watchin TV and then suddenly a hand like thing grabbed my neck and i couldn't breathe,i was trying to call for mom and the others but it was like they didnt saw me,when i woke up i was completly shocked and had breathing problems and couldnt move,my mom then came and whe i told her about the dream she told me that it was nothing...spooky what does it means???

one summer night i had a dream about being chased by a shadow person,(and i had this kind of dream a lot of times before that made it hard for me to sleep)and i was running near my house, school and other places i knew, then i end up some place i knew since i was lil,the train station where i used to go there when i was waiting for my aunts or vissiting them

anyway the problem was that it was wierd that the place suddenly changed in my dream new blocks and stuff appeared there and tings were where they souldnt be and the most worried me about a new train station being there where a huge train would came at different hour...after running from that dangerous thing trying to get me and kill me i was saved by someone but i couldnt see who it was and then i woke up and told mother everything about it and she said that i somehow dreamed the future, because at the news it said that there will be a new train station right where i was running in my dream and new other stuff that i saw there, even my aunt said the same thing(the most scary thing that my aunt adina ussualy has these kinds of fellings or premonitions where she knows when bad or good things are going to hapen) i went to see for myself and people really started to build that thing...now thats wierd 0_0

My friend swears her house is haunted. She sees this guy with blue skin on her roof sometimes, and when she used one of those pendulums that swing when a ghost is answering you, it said sung in conformance when she asked if he was a demon D:
Another time, she heard all these loud noises from her garage, like banging and stuff, but she just thought it was her cat. But then she saw her cat upstairs. So she went to check it out, all the banging and stuff stopped and she heard heavy breathing Dx

Once I went to President Jackson's house in Tennessee. I was still pretty ticked that we didn't go to Elvis' house in sted and was as bord as hell. The tour lady was anoying too, btw. So we went up stairs and crowed in the hallway. I was in the back and had to whate untill the whole group went saw the room befor i got there. I believe it was the president's wife's room (i found out later that she died whil he was in office) There was a plate of plexy glass in the door was Her room was was kinda small and aranged with a fire place onthe left, A nice bed on the right and directly in front of the door way was a desk with "artifacts" and an ovel mirror behind it. I looked in the room and desided to entertain my self in the mirror by messing with my hair and doing 'stlying' poses when somthing happend. I't pretty hard to describe it. I blinked and felt somthing, like shock, start at my heart and radated out wards. I think a goast touched me or walked threw me. Needless to say i ran to may mom and told her, and she freeked a little (just in her face not like she ran out of there screeming) That's my experance with a unknow possiple super natural being.

Well, for some reason my family has always had problems with ghost. There are so many ghost stories I can tell you but this one is the least scary one I can think off.
I went to Gettysburg one time. Our camera's died out the minute we got there. They were fully charged by the way. We came home a week later and while I was in my room I felt someone walk past me. I was in my room alone. I opened my door to get something after that when I saw something red pass by down the hall. I didn't think much of it and went downstairs. When I came back up I saw that my blacket that was hanging on my chair was...swinging I guess you can say.
My blanket it heavy and it doesn't swing. I went in my room to see what it was and when I turned around to see the kitchen (My room is kinda connected to the kitchen, the door keeps us seperated.) I saw a man in a red uniform walking down the hall again.
Well, I walked to my mom and dad's room which is down that hall and when I told them what I had seen they said "We know, we just saw him pass by."
He's gone now but that was still pretty cool.

i-luv-u-dib-83:
Oh jeez. where to start?
Well, in September, i had to go to a mental hospital for HALLUCINATIONS~ :iconwoooplz:
while i was there, i saw one of a lady. she was albino, with long, wild black hair. her eyes were completely white, no pupils or anything, with black all around the sockets and dripping down her hollow cheeks. her mouth was always open, screaming; no tongue, just sharp, jagged teeth. oh, and she was wearing a bloodied hospital dress. charming, eh?

Well, i kept seeing her. which was weird, because once i saw one, i useally saw a different one the next time. but no, it was always her.

another boy who was there for hallucinations and i were talking at the food table one day and he told me he had seen a woman the night before. i told him to tell me what she looked like... and he described the lady.

that really freaked me out. to make matters worse, that night i was in my bed and she came up to me, and smiled evilly. she said: "1 4 9" and vanished. i was wondering what it could mean, so i tried adding them--that's 14; my age. so I'm all: "Holy shit she's gonna do something to me!"

so the next day i was all paranoid, and in this little closed off room finishing some school work. (pff--miss school, do work x[) all of a sudden, i hear a scream of pain from the teenage unit, all the doctors run down to find a kid who was there for anger (no names plz) covered in cuts a bruises screaming, then he fainted. (later when he woke up he had no recollection of it!) but as i watched this happen, i looked at the clock-- it was 1:49. another girl came to the hospital the next day and told us she came there because she saw a hallucination of a lady--she described her to us--it was the same one. when i told her all this she burst into tears and said over and over "I'm not crazy...i'm not crazy..."

EnigmaticSolitude:
Well.... the first story I'm going to tell is not actually about ghosts, but about shadow people...
I experienced this when I was 4/5. I woke up at the middle of the night from a nightmare, my mouth dry. I wanted to get a glass of water, but there was something in the window to my left... there were 2 strange shadows that seemed to be looking at me. At first, I didn't know what to do. Because the ladder's also near the window. Then decided I should just stay in my bed. I hid under my blanket, hoping that I would sleep again.

The second one I encountered when I was 11, in the Philippines. I was going to the Airport after going to my grandfather's funeral the other day. I was riding in my sister-in-law's van, and the journey to the airport was boriiiiiing. Besides seeing a truck of pigs being brought to a farm, there was nothing else for me to do. My sketchbook was in my sister's bag, and she's taking a different airplane. I fell asleep and then woke up halfway through the journey.

I knew I was awake and it wasn't a dream. There was a head (That looked like my grandfather) that was floating from my right to left, aging more as he goes on to find his place. I thought nothing of it and fell asleep again.

The next day, I told my brother about what happened in the van and he told me he heard our grandfather's voice when he was waking up too. Creepy, eh?

Red-Whisper:
I assure you I am not stressing or exaggerating any details in the story to follow. It is 100% true, and unfortunately the only scary paranormal experience in my life. Keep in mind that I am also highly skeptical, but this experience was too real and flawless to have a scientific explanation.

I was at my friend's house with some other friends. My friend Hayley sees ghosts. She has seen them since she was little, as though they were normal people. It's often hard for her to tell ghosts apart from real people. Now I thought she may have schizophrenia at first, but she assured me that she had tests and scans of her brain to see she had any sort of disorder or mental flaw. The scans and tests results proved for her to be a tad dyslexic, but otherwise perfectly normal.

So anyways, back to the story. My friend Hayley happened to see many ghosts in my friend Sarah's house, one little girl on the stairwell at the time. (That was the only clear ghost she saw that day, but found many others on later visits.) We know she was telling the truth because Sarah had seen the little girl in a mirror before, and their description of the girl was identical. So there was proof that Hayley saw ghosts. Not to mention, she pointed out where the ghost girl was on the stairwell to my other friends and turned off the lights, and they all saw an orb or an orb with a bit of a face run back up the stairs. I didn't though, I wasn't looking. xD I was scaaared.

So my friend Hayley went home and other friends and I moved rooms and started just hanging out and stuff. An HOUR after Hayley went back home on the other side of town, she gives us a call. Apparently she was in the middle of washing dishes when everything went dark and she had a vision. She rarely has visions, but when she does, it's usually important.

She had a vision that we were all sitting in the living room, which is where we ALL were at the time, when a big black wolf with green eyes snuck up behind me and attempted to bite my head off. Hayley snapped out of the vision while the wolf was in mid bite. She told us that she had seen a clock and the time was 11:00PM. She called us at 10:45pm.

Now I was skeptical again, and asked her to describe where we all were in the vision. Well, she did. She told us where each and every one of us were sitting, and even HOW we were sitting. She was 100% correct. I was freaking out by then, and Hayley told us to get out of the house. So we did.
We were all walking down the street when at exactly 11:00PM, Sarah got a call on her cell phone. Someone was informing her that her Ex-Girlfriend had been run over by a drunk driver and was in critical condition. Spooky, yes? Well, what more was that Sarah was currently in love with me, just like she had been with her Ex. Perhaps I was a substitution for her Ex girlfriend in the vision, since I was with everyone at the time?

All I know was that this was the scariest thing to ever happen to me. Ever.

On a side note, we were all at Sarah's house again. (This time Hayley saw a cloaked evil figure in the house and the little girl was really mad so we all hid out in Sarah's room) Sarah had a protector in her room named Frederick, and another really nice teenage male named Jason. (We nicknamed Frederick Freddie so it was Freddie and Jason. XD) Sarah could hear them and Hayley could see them. Apparently Jason was trying to hit on me while I was there. XD It's a shame I couldn't see or hear them though.

I asked the ghosts why my friends all saw them at least a little bit and why I couldn't see them at all. Both Sarah and Hayley heard them answer, (I can't remember which one answered me) and told me it was because I haven't been around human death. It's true, all my friends have been to at least one funeral, and I have yet to attend my first. So if you're wondering why you can't see ghosts, this is why! XDD

x-X-Memorized-X-x:
Iget deja vu. A lot. I dream things which happen. Sometimes I remember as soon as I wake up other times I forget my dream and dont realise until it starts to happen.

One of the worst ones was in year 6 when one of my friends said a particular scentence about her homework and I realised that I had then seen another of my friends get punched in the side of the face by this mean kid right after she said it. As soon as I remembered what was meant to happen I spun around in my seat to look out the window and saw it actually happen. The friend I was sitting next to looked where I was looking and saw it too but didnt ask how I knew to look. The guy was pretty upset about the punch but not hurt too badly.

Also once in year 8 I remember my dream in the morning of a conversation my friends were having planning a party. I hadn't heard anything about a party yet and so later when I got to school and heard the first scentence "I'm thinking about having a party sometime, so everyone can come over and watch movies and stuff." I looked at my other friend and caught her eyes and said "How about next friday?" At the same time as her. She was really surprised. Then I looked over at the other friend and said along with him "Yeah that should be allright... That was weird" and his jaw dropped cause I even got the "that was weird" timed perfectly. I was laughing after that cause it was just so strange.

Another time like year 5, I started chatting to a friend and when she said "I cant wait for lunch time." I remembered that the kid sitting behind me would use a ruler to flick a thumb tack over at the kids sitting in front of us. I looked behind me and he was setting his ruler up with the thumb tack to do it. He did let it fly and it landed exactly where I saw it would between the two people in front of me. But I didnt tell anyone I thought it was going to happen.

I've never seen anything that would seriously hurt someone luckily. I think I'd feel really bad knowing something terrible yet inevitable like that.

A lot of people think its just cause I know my friends really well that I can predict what they will say and dream about things that occur regularly or have happened before. But I dont know I think its a bit too exact for that. But thats just me.

TubularFox:
Okay, here's one of my MANY paranormal experiences. I believe whole-heartedly in ghosts, so I tend to freak myself out with an over-active imagination, but this one was real.
A few months ago, I was laying in bed at around midnight, waiting for my sister to come into my room and talk to me (we do this sometimes, because we both can't sleep very well unless we talk to each other before bed). Now, i know she'd told me that if it was later than 11:30 then she wasn't going to come, but she'd promised me we'd talk, so I waited.

My door was closed all the way. Of this I am ABSOLUTELY sure.

I had taken my glasses off for bed (and I can't see ANYTHING but fuzzy shapes without them), and I as facing the door, waiting for her to come in. At just around midnight, the door opens about six inches. I can tell there's someone there, and, assuming that it's my sister, I lift a hand to wave at her to let her know I'm not asleep. At the same time, I grab my glasses off the bedside table.

As I put them on, I see, no joke, a woman who I've never seen before staning outside my door. She lifts her own hand and waves at me, and then closes the door.

my freaky expirence wanst just witnessed by me. i have my friend jasmine to back it up. we were a sleep over bday party for my friend amanda and they had just finished remodleing their living room/ kitchen area. well they had put in these HUGE glass windows that spanned 2 of the 3 walls. it was around 2am when we relized everyone else had fallen asleep. no big deal at that point and we were just chilling on the couch. we were watching some movie or show when i heard this tapping behind me. i knew it wasnt from the movie cuz id seen it soooo many times and knew it by heart. i turned around and didnt hear anything. i passed it off as nothing until i turned my head back to the movie and saw a blur of white from the giant kitchen windows. this time i knew jasmine had seen it too but it wasnt enough proof to freak us out totally. she lives in the woods so i assumed it was an owl or something. i was only a 7th grader at the time and was starting to get skiddish. then a demonic looking face slammed on the kitchen window and we both screamed like bloody mary! we scrambled off the couch and tried to wake up anyone else but no matter what we did, they would not. wake. up. we curled under the blankets and tried to keep eachother awake. i still have no idea what exactally happened that night because she has no neiboors for atleast a mile. it is by far my most scary expirence and until they get curtians, i will never sleep over at her house!

Buchanchem:
A little late but, my weird expreience is two really.
My first one was when I was in year 6 in primary school. The cealings were made of those light almost cardboard like rectangles (sorry not the best description). The school also dates back to the Victorian era. Well it was rather windy and gray outside, when it happened and one of the tiles in the cealing had came loose. Every so often it'd raise up and bump about where the wind was so rough. What happened next was when a huge gust of wind sudenly swept through the class room. Both a friend of mien in the older year and I both saw some strange outline walk from one end of the class room to the other. It wasn't another pupil for the figure was too pale. It was more just an outline more than anything, but something defernatly moved.
The second is when I drea, they either come true or the opposite happens. E.G I dreamt my guide captain (who at the time was very ill) would pass on....and she did :S

KattUcia:
OKay, so this just happened on Halloween. I went to this party thing, and afterwards, since I'm watching my friend's house while she's out of town, I went over to the other end of town to take care of the place. I get in, and her stupid cat gets out. Of course, it's a black cat, and it's dark outside. Plus, it's halloween and there's a full moon. I am severely creeped out.
So I'm looking for this cat, and I think I see her. I'm calling to her, "Here, Kitty!" and she meows. I go over to where she is, and there's nothing there. I had my eye on her the whole time, and she just POOF disappeared. Needless to say, I was even more creeeped out at this point. But I keep looking, because I don't know at this point that Imhotep (that's her name) is allowed outside.
I keep looking, and she pulls the disappearing act four more times. Then I finally get her really close to the house, and I call her name. She looks at me, and I SWEAR, her eyes glowed red for just a second. Then she poofed off into the night again.
I ran away from that house screaming, called my friend, told her the story, and haven't seen the cat since.

This isn't a nightmare, but it was a weird experience I went through when I was younger. I'm very close to my great, great Grandmother. One morning, I started asking my mom if she could call my Grandma at her house, or could we visit her.

That evening, my mom was getting tired of me asking about going to my grandma's house, when she recieved a phone call from the hospital. My Grandma had a heart attack. She surviverd, but my mom was surprised about me asking about my grandma all day, and already knowing that something happened to her.

And, I'm also very close to my great grandmother because she loves ghosts and the Paranormal, like me. She's also had some weird experiences. After her brother Jerry passed away of Cancer, my mom and her two sisters and my Mimi (My grandmother) went to go to Tyler, Texas to the funeral and viewing.

After my mom and sisters went to bed, the light beside their bed blew out. One of my other aunts was frightened, but my Grandmother thought it was her brother, Jerry saying good bye to them.

A Wish Come True (A Short Story)

I woke up with a start when I found myself in a very unfamiliar place. The bed I was lying on was grand—an English-quilting blanket and 2 soft pillows with flowery laces. The whole place was fit for a king! Suddenly the door opened and there stood my dream prince: Katsuya Kimura! I gasped in astonishment for he was actually a cartoon character. I did not know that he really exist. “Wake up, dear,” he said and pulled off the blanket and handed it to a woman who looked like the maid. “You will be late for work.” “Work?” I asked. “Yes! Work! Have you forgotten your own comic workhouse, baby dear?” Comic workhouse?! I…I have became a cartoonist? That was my wildest dreams! Being a cartoonist! I undressed and changed into my beige T-shirt and black trousers at once and hurriedly finished my breakfast. Katsuya drove me to the workhouse. My, my, was it big! I’ve never seen a bigger place than this! Katsuya kissed me and said, “See you at four, OK, baby?” I blushed scarlet. I always wan...

Hans and Hilda

Once upon a time there was an old miller who had two children who were twins. The boy-twin was named Hans, and he was very greedy. The girl-twin was named Hilda, and she was very lazy. Hans and Hilda had no mother, because she died whilst giving birth to their third sibling, named Engel, who had been sent away to live wtih the gypsies. Hans and Hilda were never allowed out of the mill, even when the miller went away to the market. One day, Hans was especially greedy and Hilda was especially lazy, and the old miller wept with anger as he locked them in the cellar, to teach them to be good. "Let us try to escape and live with the gypsies," said Hans, and Hilda agreed. While they were looking for a way out, a Big Brown Rat came out from behind the log pile. "I will help you escape and show you the way to the gypsies' campl," said the Big Brown Rat, "if you bring me all your father's grain." So Hans and Hilda waited until their father let them out, ...
